Traci Bingham took a big gamble giving up her Harvard education for the fame and fortune of Hollywood. But a beautiful talent like her, she was destined for success in LA. It didn't take long for Traci Bingham to start her acting career, nabbing small spots in some of the hottest Television shows at the time.
Traci played the role of Santa's helper in "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" in 1994, played a porno star(!) in "Dream On" in 1995, and played the role of an exotic dancer giving lap dances to Al Bundy and friends in "Married...with Children" in 1996. Traci also played a samll part in the film "Tales from the Crypt Presents: Demon Knight" in 1995, playing the role of a "Party Babe".
But Traci's breakout roll exploded in 1996, when she was named as the newest cast member to the ultra-successful and most popular television series in the world - "Baywatch"!! Traci Bingham landed a regular role as Jordan Tate, the first woman of color to join the ladies of Baywatch.
Traci Bingham, the exotic beauty from Massachusetts, has now become world famous as one of the Baywatch Babes, and her career would continue to take off.
Traci appeared in the June 1998 issue of Playboy Magazine. In addition to the magazine, Traci hosted a Playboy video featuring her and other unclad Baywatch hotties, called "Babes of Baywatch", including Pamela Anderson, Jenny McCarthy, and Donna D'Erico.
Traci quickly found another interesting role as Victoria Carrera in the series, "The Dream Team". Traci's character was a female spy/crimefighter who masquerades as a fashion model to battle international villains. Angie Everhardt, Traci Lord, Martin Sheen and Roger Moore appeared in this short-lived series in 1999.
Traci also appeared on "The Howard Stern Show" (1998), "The Jamie Foxx Show" (1999), "Malcome & Eddie" (2000), "The Parkers" (2000), "Black Scorpion" (2001), "Rock Me Baby" (2003), and "Girlfriends" (2004).
In addition to her acting roles, Traci has had several roles playing herself and the role of host. Traci was the host of "Exploring the Fantasy", an educational how-to for adult couples in 1999, a guest panelist on "To Tell The Truth" in 2000, a guest host on "Rendez-View" in 2001, in "Spy TV" (2001), appeared in the 1st Annual BET Awards in 2001, and was a regular on the television series, "BattleBots" as a feature reporter. Traci also participated on MTV, Inside Edition, Extra, and E! Entertainment.
Reality TV is where Traci re-kindled her television fame. In 2002, Traci proved she had the guts and stamina when she came in second on FOX's Celebrity Bootcamp.
But Traci Bingham's biggest role since Baywatch was in the unlikely reality televesion series, "The Surreal Life", the second season of which Traci stole the spotlight as both a hottie and a difficult diva to live with in 2003.
The Surreal Life - Once they were superstars. Now, six bigger-than-life celebrities from every genre of the entertainment industry are back in the spotlight as they share a home and a series of outrageous and life-changing events for twelve days and nights that can only be described as surreal. The cast includes Traci Bingham, Tammy Faye, porno superstar Ron Jeremy, Vanilla Ice himself, Real World's Trishelle Cannatella, and Erik Estrada.
The cast takes several "field trips" during production including a revealing visit to a nudist resort, where Traci tries to get everyone naked (but she's unwilling to bare it all); Tammy Faye's book signing; waiting tables at a legendary Sunset Strip greasy spoon as well as Ron Jeremy's pool party. Other celebrities like Gary Coleman, Todd Bridges, Andy Dick, Sally Jesse Raphael and Vince Neil also stop by to join the fun.
Traci made a big impression on the show, having some audience members fall in love with her while others grew to dislike her diva attitude.
"The Surreal Life" launched on the WB, but can now be found on VH1.
