Traci Bingham - Personal and Charitable Work
Working on the show, "Baywatch", Traci Bingham was motivated to get involved with Heal the Bay, and other charitable organizations.
As a vegetarian, Traci agreed to a very controversial advertisemnt for PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals), stripping down naked and having her body makred up like a piece of meat. Traci's ad appeared in the July, 2002 issue of Gear magazine. Below is the photograph from the ad campaign:

Traci Bingham isn’t shy about revealing body parts—but she draws the line at eating them. The curvaceous vegetarian actor, known to TV viewers from her appearances on Baywatch, Comedy Central’s Strip Mall and a host of various shows on BET and MTV, has traded in her bathing suit for her birthday suit in a new PETA ad that encourages people to view animals as more than walking entrées.
Billions of animals are bred every year for the sole purpose of having their bodies chopped up and stuck in tidy packages on supermarket shelves. Like us, animals raised for their flesh have personalities and feelings and form family relationships and friendships if given the chance. Instead, factory farms deny animals everything that is natural or enjoyable to them, condemning them to tortured lives in filthy, cramped cages, stalls and sheds, where only a steady diet of drugs keeps them alive long enough to be prodded to the slaughterhouse. Horrifyingly, dismemberment often starts months beforehand—chickens, pigs, sheep and cows routinely undergo excruciating de-beaking, tail-docking or castration—all without painkillers. ‘By exposing myself, I hope to expose others to the many benefits of a vegetarian diet’, says Bingham.
The racy ad, shot by Robert Sebree in Hollywood, will appear in the July issue of Gear magazine, just in time to add some sizzling conversation to backyard barbecues.
Of course, the PETA campaign had it's lash-back. There are other organizations that feel PETA objectifies and exploits women.

Traci Bingham's work for PETA did not end with this ad campaign, she further shocked the public by wearing a lettuce bikini out in traffic and promoting vegetarianism.

Baywatch Star in Lettuce Bikini Stops Traffic
Former Baywatch star and Playboy model Traci Bingham stopped traffic in Berlin by wearing a lettuce bikini to promote vegetarianism.
Bingham, who played the life-guard Jordan in the hit U.S. television series, spent more than half an hour Thursday posing for the cameras wiggling between a famous steak restaurant and Berlin's Kurfuerstendamm shopping street.
The protest was organized by the animal rights group PETA. Bingham's bikini of fake lettuce leaves carried a sign reading "Go Vegetarian!"
"I love to wear lettuce because I don't like to wear fur," said 34-year-old Bingham.
The restaurant sponsored a meat industry congress in Berlin this year. The manager asked Bingham to leave when she entered the restaurant with a crowd of reporters to order a vegetarian meal.
"I'll do whatever I can to get the message across with PETA - including wearing a lettuce-leaf bikini." -- former Baywatch babe (and devout vegetarian) Traci Bingham explaining why she strutted through the streets of Paris in July 2002 wearing nothing but a salad and a smile.
Traci Bingham, one of the so-called "Lettuce Ladies", is not the only celebrity sporting a salad instead of a bikini. Elizabeth Berkley and Pamela Anderson share the same passion for animal rights and vegetarianism.
