Traci Bingham will be the new spokesperson for EmpirePoker.com!!! I happen to be an avid poker fan and Traci Bingham fan, so this will be fun to see how this relationship works out.
BIG DRAW Saying that she appeals to their ''core demographic," online gambling site Empire Poker has tapped former ''Baywatch" star Traci Bingham to be the website's new spokesgal. The Cambridge native's likeness will be used in conjunction with Empire Poker on its website and all media events. ''Traci will be seen at high profile venues such as red carpet events and poker tournaments wearing Empire Poker gear," the company said in a release. A soon-to-be Penthouse model, Bingham was part of the second season of ''The Surreal Life," appearing with Erik Estrada and Vanilla Ice. Why would Bingham be such a huge draw? The company says ''Empire Poker's North American clientele is dominated by men aged 21-40."

Dearest readers - I hope you found oodles of joyeux lurking in your noel . Here at Chez Martini, I've been unwrapping marvelous sparkly things for days. It certainly paid to sit on Santa's lap (at least I think it was Santa).
While Manolo, my beloved Pom, helps me nibble the heads off gingerbread men, let me embark on a venerable Martini family tradition: The Intervention.
How many red carpet festivities have been marred by tragedy this year? Sad frocks, unfortunate cleavage, fringe incidents - it moves me to weeping. Here, a gentle psychic wedgie to set the Fashion Unfortunates on the straight and narrow for the new year:

HOLLYWOOD, Calif., Aug. 27 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- The Special Extended DVD Edition of The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, from New Line Home Entertainment, is the top contender in the 7th Annual DVD Awards with Leonard Maltin, leading all entries with six nominations.
Mr. Maltin will preside for the fifth consecutive year at the DVD Awards Ceremony, the August 30 opening night event of the new Entertainment Media Expo (EMX), at the Renaissance Hollywood Hotel here, August 30 through September 1.
